Teacher Guardian Scheme

About the Scheme

PCET has introduced the Teacher Guardian Scheme to facilitate one-to-one interaction between teachers and students. Each teacher is assigned a batch of students, taking on the role of Teacher-Guardian - serving as a friend, philosopher, and guide throughout their academic journey.

The Teacher-Guardian meticulously tracks each student's progress, recording daily attendance, test results, internal assessments, and examination outcomes in a specially designed logbook. Beyond academics, they encourage participation in co-curricular activities and provide regular feedback to parents.

This unique mentoring program extends beyond the classroom, offering emotional support and personal counseling to help students navigate challenges both on campus and in their personal lives. The Teacher Guardian Scheme represents our commitment to holistic student development.

Our Approach

The Teacher Guardian Scheme is designed to create a supportive bridge between students and the institution. Our teachers take proactive responsibility for nurturing newly admitted students, particularly during the crucial first year when the transition to college life can be challenging.

"The Teacher Guardian Scheme has been transformative for our students. It's remarkable to see how this personal connection improves not just academic performance but overall student well-being and engagement with college life."

- Dr. Smith, Head of Department

Students are encouraged to approach their Teacher-Guardian with any concerns, whether academic, personal, or social. The scheme covers a wide range of support areas including home and family relationships, depression, anxiety management, and combating loneliness.
